A Lindenhurst man was killed Tuesday evening in North Babylon when the car he was driving struck a guardrail and then a pole, Suffolk County police said.

Wojciech Kozlowski, 47, was headed east on the Sunrise Highway Service Road, police said. It did not appear there were other vehicles or people involved in the 7:50 p.m. crash, police said. Kozlowski was driving a 2007 Mazda CX-7 and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said they are investigating and ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
