Cops: Man driving drunk crashed in Southold

A Southold man whose truck crashed into a car on Oaklawn Avenue in Southold on Tuesday was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.

Southold Town police said Nicholas W. Koehler, 24, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he failed a post-accident field sobriety test Tuesday at 5 p.m.

He was held for arraignment Wednesday in Southold Town Justice Court, police said.

Police said Koehler was driving a Ford truck southbound on Oaklawn when he crashed into a car driven by Jennifer Olsen, 40, of Southold. She was not seriously injured, police said.
