Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County police are looking for a man who stole from a Farmingville supermarket then pulled a knife on a store employee in the parking lot.

Police on Friday released a photograph of the suspect, Edwin Aguirre, 30, and details of the alleged theft on Sept. 9.

At about 8:45 p.m., Aguirre stole merchandise from a Stop & Shop at 2350 N. Ocean Ave. in Farmingville, according to a news release.

When a supermarket employee confronted him in the parking lot, Aguirre poked the employee in the chest with a pocket knife, the release said.

Aguirre, whose last known address is 237 Birchwood Dr., Coram, then drove off in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with Connecticut license plate OAA GK9, police said.
