A 21-year-old man with a learner's permit accidentally crashed his car Thursday through the front of the 7-Eleven where he works in Islip Terrace, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the man's mother was in the car with him at the time of the crash and said the driver told them he mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal -- instead of the brake. No one in the car or the store was injured, according to police.

Police did not release the identity of the driver.
