A Bay Shore woman was arrested early Sunday after, Suffolk County police said, she left her four children in her unlocked, unheated car while she drank in a Holbrook bar.
Maria Cepparo, 40, had parked her 2012 Ford Focus in a fire zone in front of Momo's Sports Bar and Grill, 350 Union Ave., around 12:15 a.m., leaving her four children -- a son with autism, age 13, another son, 8, and her twin daughters, age 6 -- in the car.
Police said she then went into the bar to drink. Cepparo was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of children. She was released on her own recognizance at her arraignment Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip. She is due back in court on May 20.
