Cops: Nativity figures stolen in St. James

Suffolk County's Hate Crimes Unit and Crime Stoppers are trying to determine who stole figures from a Nativity scene in St. James, police said Friday.

Two plastic Wise Men from a Nativity scene at the intersection of Route 25A and Lake Avenue in St. James were taken sometime between Monday and Tuesday, police said in a news release.

Police released a photograph of the Nativity scene, which was set up by the St. James Chamber of Commerce.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
