Cops: Pair charged in string of burglaries

A man and woman from Patchogue were arrested Sunday and charged with a string of burglaries dating back to 2010, Suffolk police said.

Louis Rosario-Padilla, 24, and Kristie Segreto, 27, were apprehended about 1:30 p.m. after a Sayville resident called police to say that a man had just climbed through the window of a neighbor's house on Wyandanch Road after a woman knocked on the door and got no response, police said.

Police said further investigation revealed the pair was responsible for multiple residential burglaries in Patchogue since 2010. Rosario-Padilla was charged with five counts of second degree burglary and Segreto with three counts of second degree burglary.
