Cops probe another car fire in N. Amityville

Suffolk County police arson investigators are investigating a Saturday morning car fire on Glenmalure Street in North Amityville. It is unclear whether the fire is related to car fire early Friday morning on Steele Place in North Amityville, police said. Saturday's fire was reported at 1:45 a.m.; no injuries were reported. Suffolk County police arson investigators are investigating a car fire Saturday morning on Glenmalure Street in North Amityville, police officials said.

The fire was reported at 1:45 a.m. No injuries were reported.

It is unclear, a Suffolk police spokeswoman said, if the fire is related to a separate car fire early Friday morning on Steele Place in North Amityville.

In that incident, a 2003 Infiniti was found ablaze in front of an unoccupied home. Police said they are investigating that fire as a possible arson.
