A Riverhead teen was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly slashed another teen with a razor, Riverhead Town police said.

Police said they received a call of a disturbance on Railroad Avenue in Riverhead just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, police said they found that Jvon Creighton, 18, had slashed a 16-year-old youth on the arm with a razor blade during a dispute.

Creighton was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, police said.

He was held overnight in Riverhead and was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday in Riverhead Town Justice Court.

The victim, who was from Calverton, was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.
