Cops seek would-be Farmingville bank robber

Suffolk police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a Farmingville bank Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a man entered a Chase bank at 2430 Ocean Ave. about 2 p.m., approached a bank teller and displayed a note demanding money. When the teller didn't comply right away, the man fled on foot in an unknown direction.

He was described as being between 5 feet, 3 inches and 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a thin build, wearing a black jacket, sunglasses and a white baseball cap.
