Cops: Swastikas drawn on cars in Melville

Police are seeking the person -- or persons -- responsible for damaging five car windshields in the Melville area recently, drawing swastikas on the vehicles between April 5 and 6.

The swastikas were drawn with clear glue sometime between 11 p.m. April 5 and 7:30 a.m. April 6, Suffolk County police said.

The cars were on Cawfield Lane, Clafford Lane, Hanford Street and Dunford Street. The cost of the damage was not immediately clear.

Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, and a cash reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
