Three people arrested in a Wednesday drug deal that turned into a car crash and shooting were arraigned Friday, including one done at a hospital bedside, authorities said.

Guillermo Quinones, 24, of Hazelton, Pa., was charged with first-degree robbery and held without bail, while Rene Barahona, 25, of Arverne, was arraigned at his hospital bedside on the same charge after being injured in the car crash, the Suffolk district attorney's office said.

A third male, June Colon, 17, of Central Islip, was arrested Thursday and arraigned Friday on first-degree robbery and marijuana possession. His bail was set at $100,000 cash or $300,000 bond, prosecutors said.

Detectives said all three were in an Acura about 12:30 p.m. when they met drug sellers in Central Islip in a prearranged deal.

But the three suspects drove off with the drugs without paying, leading to a car chase by the sellers in a Volvo, police said. The Acura crashed into a brick wall surrounding a property, police said, and the suspects fired at the sellers.

Some of those involved fled and the incident led to an intense manhunt that expanded to railroad tracks near Brentwood, police said.

It was not clear if the three had private defense attorneys or were represented by Legal Aid.
