Cops: Van driver ejected in LIE crash, breaks leg

The unidentified male driver "apparently lost control of the vehicle and struck a wall" when he was ejected, according to a Suffolk County police spokeswoman. Police closed the eastbound lanes for about 20 minutes so the driver could be airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries including a broken leg. (Jan. 7, 2013)
