A Riverhead woman was drunk when she was stopped for driving the wrong way on Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays early Friday, State Police said.

Lianne Alcon, 34, produced a breath-analyzer reading of .15 percent -- nearly two times the legal limit of .08 -- after being pulled over for driving west in the eastbound lanes of the highway, police said in a news release.

Troopers responding to several 911 calls about a wrong-way driver said Alcon was in a 2012 Kia, driving in the left lane of eastbound traffic, just west of Exit 63, at about 12:27 a.m.

Police said she was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Her arraignment information at Southampton Town Justice Court was not immediately available.
