A Bay Shore man was driving an unregistered car with stolen license plates when he was pulled over early Monday on the Southern State Parkway in West Babylon, State Police said.

Davie Vance, 48, is scheduled to appear July 1 at First District Court in Central Islip on charges of criminal possession of stolen property and several traffic violations, including driving with a revoked license, police said.

Davie was driving a red Volkswagen on the parkway near the Belmont Avenue exit at about 6 a.m. when he was pulled over by a trooper in a vehicle with plate-reading equipment, police said.

A check with the Department of Motor Vehicles also revealed Vance's revoked driver's license and that the car was neither registered nor inspected, police said.
