A dead fish wrapped in a political campaign sign was left on the doorstep of Islip Town Councilman Christopher Bodkin less than a week after he was defeated in a re-election bid, according to the councilman and Suffolk police.

Police from the Fifth Precinct Crime Section Monday interviewed Bodkin, a 16-year board member who was on vacation in Bermuda when the package arrived Nov. 8, he said.
