Dentists offer cash for candy to thank troops
On the floor of the All City Cosmetic Dental Care office in Huntington Station Tuesday, averted cavities and forsaken calories sat in chocolaty, sugary piles.
Just days after Halloween, local dentists were offering children the chance to turn the sweet loot into cash, usually a dollar per pound. The candy is then sent to troops overseas.
