Eatons Neck Fire District settles discrimination lawsuit
The Eatons Neck Fire District has agreed to pay $213,840 to settle an age discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission earlier this year.
The suit alleged that the fire district refused to let volunteer firefighters over age 65 accrue credits in a retirement benefits program. The settlement was announced Thursday.
