Ex-fire chief remembered

Ex-fire chief Ross Huffer was remembered at a ceremony on March 2, 2014, at the Nesconset fire house. Huffer was on duty as a first responder when he suffered a heart attack on Feb. 27, 2014. He was a 48-year veteran of the Nesconset Fire Department and won the medal of valor for saving a mans life in the 1980s. (Credit: Stringer News Service)
