Ex-minor leaguer now teaches physical education in Deer Park

Doug Hecker pitched for MacArthur High School in Levittown in the late 1980s and was picked by the Boston Red Sox in the third round of the 1992 MLB Draft. He never made it to the big leagues. With a wife, children and a full-time job teaching physical education at Robert Frost Middle School in Deer Park, Hecker says his life is better than ever.
