EAST FARMINGDALE - A Navy SEAL from Patchogue who was killed in Afghanistan back in 2005 is getting a unique tribute this Memorial Day weekend. A wreath of flowers will be dropped over New York harbor tomorrow from a B-17 Flying Fortress in honor of Lt. Michael Murphy, and of all veterans. Murphy was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor because he died saving his team. The craft, dubbed the Yankee Lady, was one of 12,000 B-17s made during World War II. It could fly at nearly 300 mph, travel 2,800 miles on one tank of fuel and could drop 8,000 pounds of bombs.
