Firefighter from Eastport dies of apparent stroke

A New York City firefighter from Eastport who apparently suffered a stroke while responding to a fire alarm in Brooklyn died Friday morning at Bellevue Hospital Center, officials said.
Paul Warhola, 47, of Engine 221 in Williamsburg, was a 15-year department veteran described by colleagues as dedicated and hardworking.
