Firefighters extinguish Coram blaze

Firefighters from three departments extinguished a fire Monday morning at an apartment complex in Coram, Suffolk County officials said.

Suffolk police said the fire at the North Isle Village apartments was reported in a 911 call at 9:13 a.m. Suffolk fire officials said volunteers from Coram, Mount Sinai and Selden brought the fire quickly under control -- and said no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
