Firefighters rescued two cats and a dog from a burning home in Lloyd Harbor Monday night and helped limit damage to the house, a fire official said.

Huntington Fire Department firefighters arrived at the house on Target Rock Road to find a blaze burning through the roof from the second floor, said Huntington Fire Department chief Dana Aliperti.
