Police said about 10:15 p.m. Friday, Scheuermann was driving a 2013 Apollo mini-motorcycle north on N. Eighth Street in Lindenhurst when his vehicle collided with a 1999 GMC Safari van.

Information from Hoffman’s scheduled arraignment Saturday was unavailable. His next court appearance is Thursday.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
