Fugitive from Shirley captured in Massachusetts
U.S. Marshals Monday morning captured the Shirley man who fled Long Island last week after assaulting a federal probation officer, arresting the suspect at the New Bedford, Mass., home of a girlfriend, according to officials.
Michael Santosus, 48, offered no resistance when marshals entered the girlfriend's house, according to Eugene Corcoran, the chief United States Marshal in Brooklyn.
