Glen Pettit street-sign dedication ceremony
A New York City street sign will now bear the name of NYPD Officer Glen K. Pettit, of Oakdale. The 30-year-old died in the line of duty on Sept. 11, 2011, at the World Trade Center while serving with the police video production unit. The portion of the street outside of the Police Academy on East 20th Street in Manhattan will now be known as police Officer Glen K. Pettit Corner.
