A gunman robbed a women's clothing store and a shopper in East Farmingdale Monday morning, tying three people up before getting away with cash, Suffolk County police said.

Armed with a handgun, the suspect entered Avenue, a store at Airport Plaza, about 10:30 a.m., when two employees were inside, authorities said.

During the holdup, a shopper came in, and the gunman ordered the workers and the customer into a backroom, where they were tied up, police said. The robber ran off with the customer's purse, police said.
