Horses killed by car on Mattituck road
Two riderless horses that strayed onto a road were struck by a car and killed in Mattituck early Thursday, Southold police said.
Maria Bua-Pamargo was driving a 2009 Toyota westbound on Sound Avenue near Bergen Avenue when she hit and killed the horses, which had gotten loose from a nearby property and were headed east, Southold police said.
