White House Black Market launches Inaugural Dress Collection
Inauguration Day is approaching, and as usual the fashion world has its eyes on what first lady Michelle Obama will wear.
While it's likely the all-American style icon will opt for a high-end designer frock for the big event, White House Black Market is ready and waiting with more affordable options, just in case.
Obama set off a buying frenzy when she appeared on “The View” in a black and white floral dress from the store that retailed for $148 in June 2008 (pictured above).
Now, White House Black Market is launching a limited-edition inaugural-inspired dress collection with the slogan “From Our White House to Yours.”
The collection features nine first lady-like looks ranging from one-shoulder, beaded cocktail dresses to chiffon gowns for $250-300. Though they will only hit Washington D.C., stores, they are being sold online at whitehouseblackmarket.com.
