A fire inside a Bay Shore residence early Sunday, June 18, 2017, led to the deaths of at least four kittens and left the home with "severe damage," officials said. Firefighters responded at about 1:15 a.m. to the house fire on Perkal Street, which Bay Shore Fire Chief Ed Kunz said had consumed the entire front of the single-story home.
