LI pol seeks emergency funds to tackle beach erosion

With a local state senator seeking emergency money to replenish beaches battered by the remnants of a tropical storm last weekend, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says environmental restrictions make it unlikely that a project could begin before next fall.
