Lighthouse Mission in need of turkeys, other Thanksgiving food

WOODBURY - Many Long Islanders are in need of help this Thanksgiving season, more than ever before since Superstorm Sandy hit.

Lighthouse Mission say it will not have enough supplies to go around this Thanksgiving.

Pastor Jim Ryan, who works for the Lighthouse Mission, says they've been able to meet the need for Sandy victims but that has caused them to have a shortage for Thanksgiving.

Ryan says they normally have 1,600 turkeys to give away but this year they only have 21.

Donations can be dropped off at the Lighthouse Mission's warehouse located on Montauk Highway in Bellport.
