Man charged with setting fire in Water Mill

A man has been charged with setting a fire last year under his bed and locking up his roommate in the burning room, Southampton Town police said Friday.

Kehare Hawkins, 21, was arrested Thursday and held on a $25,000 bail at Suffolk County jail after allegedly setting the Aug. 10 fire in the Water Mill home where he was living.
