Mom charged with DWI; 3-year-old critically injured
A 3-year-old girl was in critical condition with brain swelling after her mother, apparently driving drunk and high with the girl in the backseat, crashed into a pickup early Saturday in Manorville, Suffolk County police said.
Johnnaisa Harvey underwent emergency surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center and hasn't regained consciousness, police said.
