A 23-year-old mother, driving with her newborn baby, was seriously hurt when her car was hit head-on by a car whose driver was high on drugs Tuesday in East Shoreham, police said.
The 3-week-old infant, taken to Stony Brook University Hospital along with the mother, "does not appear injured at this time," Suffolk County police said.
