Motorcyclist critical after Huntington Station crash

A motorcyclist was in critical condition Tuesday after being hit by a driver turning into a gas station, Suffolk police said.

The victim, 30, has serious head trauma and was taken to Huntington Hospital police said.

The accident happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. when the driver, 79, was pulling into a gas station at 360 E. Jericho Tpke. in Huntington Station, police said.

Her car, a Mercury, hit the man on his Suzuki motorcycle, police said.

The driver was not injured, police said.

Second Precinct detectives are investigating.
