North Babylon couple pulls plug on Christmas display
There's no Christmas in July for Andrew Spadafora.
The retired truck driver, whose mammoth Yuletide extravaganza he estimates drew thousands of visitors to his North Babylon home for two decades, said Friday he can't afford to put up his nearly 1 million lights this year.
"Last year it cost me $41,000 to put Christmas together," Spadafora said. "We're still paying off last year's bills....
