Northport kicks off holidays with leg lamp lighting

Christmastime in Northport got a leg up last night at the fifth annual Northport Village Leg Lamp Lighting Ceremony, which kicked off with dozens eagerly awaiting the illumination of a quirky lamp made famous by the movie "A Christmas Story."

Bagpipers, dancers and a man in a pink bunny costume - another nod to the 1983 film - were among those who gathered for the event at Northport Hardware...
