Suffolk County Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a Brooklyn woman who drowned in a backyard pool in Hampton Bays on Thursday, police said.

Police identified the victim as Olya Lipina, 29, of Ocean Avenue.

Police said Southampton Town officers responded to the home on Wakeman Road at 12:02 p.m. Thursday, after a friend found Lipina "unresponsive" in the pool and called 911.

Lipina was declared dead at the scene, police said.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
