Pedestrian hit by car on Route 110 seriously hurt

A pedestrian was struck by a car and seriously injured early Tuesday on Route 110 in Melville, police said. The accident occurred at 1:35 a.m., according to Suffolk police, and closed Route 110 at Bayliss Road for about two hours.
