Suffolk County police said they have arrested two men who attempted to break into a pair of East Patchogue homes Thursday afternoon and were responsible for a string of area break-ins in the last month.
Police received 911 calls from neighbors reporting that a suspicious man was in the backyard of a home on Corbin Ave. about 1 p.m. Thursday.
