Police: Gunman robs Commack gas station

Police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint late Wednesday night in Commack.

Suffolk County police said the robbery at the Shell station on Veterans Memorial Highway occurred at 11:50 p.m. No one was injured.

Police said the gunman, wearing a black mask and black jacket, displayed a black handgun and demanded cash from the station attendant, who complied before the gunman fled.

No other details were immediately available Thursday.
