Police ID victim in Copiague hit-and-run
A bicyclist was critically injured in Copiague Monday when he was struck by a hit-and run vehicle, police said.
Police on Tuesday identified the victim as Wilmar Ramos, 39, of North Amityville.
Ramos was riding a 10-speed bicycle on Great Neck Road, about 100 feet south of Edmonds Place about 4:13 p.m., when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said.
