Two women suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday in Farmingville, Suffolk County police said.

Neither of the women was identified by police.

Police said the crash, involving a 2009 Nissan Murano and a 1996 Jeep Cherokee, occurred at Lidge Drive and Mooney Pond Road at 10:17 p.m.

The Murano, driven by a 47-year-old woman from Port Jefferson Station, was headed eastbound on Mooney Pond Road when police said the Jeep, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Farmingville, attempted to make a left onto the street from Lidge -- causing the vehicles to collide.

The Murano driver was taken by Farmingville Ambulance to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson for treatment of minor injuries. The Jeep driver was taken by Farmingville Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police said there were no charges in the accident.
