Police seek robber of Farmingville bank

A man robbed a People's United Bank located inside a supermarket in Farmingville on Friday afternoon, police said.

Suffolk County police said a man entered the bank inside Stop and Shop at 2350 North Ocean Ave. at 2:35 p.m., approached a teller and handed over a note demanding cash. The teller complied and gave the suspect cash from the drawer. The man fled.

Police described the robber as between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall, lean to medium build, with a fair complexion and facial hair. He was wearing a baseball hat, dark clothing and sneakers.
