Suffolk County police arrested a Holbrook man Sunday morning on charges he stabbed and killed his mother's live-in boyfriend the night before at an apartment the three shared.

Rakien Hall, 31, is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Oscar Green, 47. Police said Hall stabbed Green in the neck about 5:55 p.m. Saturday.

Green was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said in a release issued Sunday night.

Hall fled the apartment on foot, and Suffolk County police said Sixth Precinct officers arrested him Sunday at 8:50 a.m.

Hall was being held in police custody overnight and was scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip Monday.

Police declined to identify Hall's mother, given the incident was a domestic altercation.
