Riverhead gymnastics coach charged with sex abuse
Suffolk police Tuesday arrested a Riverhead gymnastics instructor and charged him with sexually abusing one of his students at a movie theater in an incident they said occurred more than two years ago.
Thomas Tellez, 36, of 10 Jessie Rd., Eastport, was arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on a count of third-degree sexual abuse and released on $2,500 bail.
