Riverhead to get $650G from state to rehab rail spur
Riverhead will be getting $650,000 from New York State to cover engineering work to rehabilitate a 2.65-mile rail spur leading to the town's Enterprise Park at Calverton.
Phil Cardinale, Riverhead's supervisor, said a federal stimulus grant of about $2 million needed to pay for the reconstruction next year is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
