Route 25 in Jamesport reopened
Route 25 in Jamesport has been reopened after it was closed for eight hours Thursday because a car hit a utility pole.
Riverhead Town Police said the road was closed from Tuthills Lane to Herricks Lane because the downed pole had blocked the roadway. The accident, which occurred at 7:06 a.m., involved a single vehicle, police said. It was unclear if anyone was injured.
